Love your BLT sandwiches, but trying to lose a few pounds; try this twist on an American classic with this BLT wedge salad recipe.


  • Bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp. Ranch seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. minced chives
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Head of iceberg lettuce
  • Cherry Tomatoes


  1. Cook bacon until crisp in a skillet over medium-high heat about 8 minutes. Let bacon air dry on a paper towel.
  2. In mixing bowl add sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, ranch seasoning, and chives, and season with pepper. Mix together and move to fridge.
  3. Cut iceberg head into 4 wedges and remove the core. Place each wedge on separate plate with drizzle of ranch dressing, tomatoes, and bacon, and garnish with chives.
