Our Team

Clarke Allen

Founder and Chief Experience Officer

At the age of 14, Clarke dreamed of having his own business in his hometown of Charlotte. He had no idea that his company would become one of the most sought after event design and production companies in the Southeast. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 1987, Clarke began his career in the hospitality industry In Dallas, Texas.

Clarke was recognized early for his ability to sell an entire experience instead of merely a hotel room. Knowing little about starting a business, his strong passion and grit led him to founding a series of businesses over the last 21 years. In 2000 Clarke decided to co-locate his two companies, Charlotte Arrangements and Creatrix and decided to develop an old warehouse in the NoDa neighborhood. In 2005 after purchasing an additional 3 acres he designed and build CenterStage@NoDa. In 2013, Clarke pulled all his companies together under the flagship Clarke Allen®, an award winning, multi-million dollar company producing over 250 programs each year. His impressive reputation has attracted clients such as the Carolina Panthers, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Samaritan’s Feet International, Preston Bailey, David Tutera, Will Ferrell, the Steve Smith Family Foundation, the late Dr. Maya Angelou, and Oprah Winfrey.

When Clarke is not planning jaw-dropping events and unparalleled experiences, you can find him at home cooking up a gourmet meal, checking out the local breweries in Charlotte, working out, or finding his Zen in yoga class.  As always, the driving force and source of inspiration behind all he does are his two sons, Carson and Cooper.

Chelsea Reynolds

Social Media and Website Manager

Born and raised in Colorado, Chelsea chose to attend the University of South Carolina for college to get away from the cold weather. She has recently completed a degree in Tourism, but decided that one degree just wasn’t enough – so she is now pursuing a degree in Integrated Information Technology.

While starting her event planning internship at Clarke Allen Events, Chelsea’s role quickly became a crash course for her upcoming IIT classes, when she took over our website and social media. (Her grades are thanking us both!) In Chelsea’s eyes, she has the best of both worlds – she gets to use her passion (preparing for extravagant events) and her skills (managing our social media and website content).

Chelsea loves coordinating events both big and small, as well as cheering on the Gamecocks at Williams Brice Stadium, in her little black sundress and boots. She also enjoys skiing, yoga and traveling – fun fact: she’s travelled to more than 13 different countries!

“Yoga is the unifying art of transforming dharma into action, be it through inspired thought, properly nurturing our children, a painting, a kindness or an act of peace. “
